"Easy going" is een nieuwe blokfluitmethode die baanbrekend van opzet is. De Duitse blokfluitpedagoge Sieglinde Heilig heeft het leerboek ontwikkeld, in nauwe samenwerking met het "Flanders Recorder Quartet". Dezelfde uitdagingen waarmee professionele blokfluitisten dagelijks te maken hebben passeren in deze methode al in een pril stadium de revue: articulaties, improvisaties, oude en hedendaagse literatuur, metronoomstudie, contrasterende muziekstijlen en muziekculturen. De oefeningen zijn gelardeerd met inspirerende en vaak zelfs adembenemende commentaren van zowel Sieglinde als van beroemde professionele spelers uit binnen- en buitenland. Het "Flanders Recorder Quartet" speelde de begeleidende blokfluitwerkjes (in een bewerking van Piet Swerts) in en voorzag deze methode van 12 extra luisterstukken uit het brede repertoire dat rijkt van P. Phalesius tot G. Miller.

"Easy Going", by the German recorder pedagogue Sieglinde Heilig, is a new, beautifully and originally designed method for the recorder which was developed in close collaboration with the "Flanders Recorder Quartet". The book comprises all the necessary exercices and inspiring commentaries for children that want to start to play the recorder. The topics that are presented are, in fact, exactly the same as those, with which professional musicians cope during their daily practice: articulation, improvisation, early and contemporary litterature, rhythm and the metronome, contrasting styles and cultures in music. The "Easy Going" method comes with a cd, containing many examples interpreted by the "Flanders Recorder Quartet" and arranged by Piet Swerts and, as an extra bonus, 12 pieces for "easy listening", from the Renaissance composer Phalesius to Glenn Miller.
