In 1972 raakte blokfluitvirtuoos Frans Bruggen als jurylid op het Musiqua Antiqua concours in Brugge zo gecharmeerd door Geysens blokfluitkwartet Periferisch-Diagonaal-Concentrisch dat hij het prompt liet uitgeven bij Schott in Londen. Het Huelgas ensemble met Paul Van Nevel, toen nog een blokfluitensemble, voerde dit werk daar uit. Sinds 1975 heeft Frans Geysen onafgebroken voor internationaal gerenommeerde blokfluitspelers gecomponeerd.
